What is Toxic Exposure?
The United States Department of Veterans Affairs (also known as the “VA”) is responsible for evaluating, treating and compensating veterans who have been exposed to toxic substances and as a result, sustained a personal injury or illness while on active duty. Many of our returning military heroes have been reporting many serious side effects as a result of being exposed to chemicals, toxins in smoke, and other toxic substances while deployed to foreign countries. However, it takes many years for serious and potentially deadly side effects to show up in those who have been exposed to toxic exposures. Toxic exposure has been linked deadly diseases such as cancer, leukemia, and multiple sclerosis.
